Surfing Icon Andy Irons Dead at 32
Andy Irons Hawaii's surfing icon died Tuesday of complications from dengue Fever. Irons was on his way back to Kauai and was denied flight access after he fell ill. Irons check into his Hyatt hotel room and did not respond to his wake up call that is when staff discovered him in bed unresponsive.
Irons was In Puerto Rico at the Rip Curl Pro search where he had to with draw sighting illness. Irons leaves behind his wife Lyndie and his unborn child.
It is with great sadness and heavy heart that we say goodbye to a outstanding young man.
Thank you Andy for your friendship and genuine smile, you were a blessing in this world. RIP

USBA Sandy Pro 2010 "Epic"
Tons of great talent laced the beach at Sandys, The mens Pro final was a oncore proformance. It was the 13- to 18 final that could bring the house down !! JB Hillen, Trevor Kam ,Keanu Cazimero and Sammy Morrentino put it on.
Kid to watch is Cody Lucus from the big Island "This kid could sign today, he is incredably talented" .

T & C Arnette put on a free grom contest July 12, 2010 that brought out the crowds at Kewalos Basin. Ezekele Lau brought home the goods. A three to 5 occassional surf conditions made it possible.

Matt Hamiltons Friends hold fundraiser in Dana Point California
Matt Hamilton has come a long way baby with his friends and family at his side after suffering a stroke on tour. His prognosis seems to get better every day. Matt's familiy is in desprete need of help, as the physical therapy takes a twain on their financial situation. 2010 Sponsor me now event ASP and Sony
The 2010 Sponsor me now event started of with low to none waves as the day progressed so did the talent that showed face. Sunny GARCIA was on hand for day one as the gromers started off in 1 to 3 foot swell. As the day wore on so did the sun block as it heated up. Jamie O brien was well hidden until his heat, Raw talent was out here Austin Vicente ranked third on the NSSA wants a shot at the WQS tripple crown placements.
Waves are exspected to rise for the last heats through 64. Possibly monday or tuesday.

Matt Hamilton Suffers Stroke at Tour
Matt Hamilton suffered a stroke while on tour Saterday June 6 in Huntington Beach. Matt was in the DK division when he sufferd a brain Hemmorige. Thanks to the fast thinking of Trevor Kam and Jason Blitzer and friends Matt made it to the Hospital to under go several hours of surgery. Matts Wife jessica and Baby "Cody" have been at his side. The morning started out slow as parents and kids trickled in but was a full blow compitition by 8.00 Am. The kids had a blast and the goody bags were full, then came the swell that made it all worth the paddle out! As the day progressed the action heated up as well as the crowd. See ya tomarrow!

A Break in the day
Sandy's Beach, Hawaii is infamous for neck breaking shore break action. This beach is not for Babies, Old Lady's or guys with a doughnut as floating device. ABC boards are not to be used here! Imagine as tons of gallons of water ready to mow you down face first in the sand with a thundering clap as the waves spank youre ass. For those who dare to take on Sandy's the ride is short but Sweet! Fins are required. Ocean Safety is always on alert and can pick out you armatures from the regular hardcore Body boarders of Sandy Beach.
